Week 2: York for a day

On our way to Scotland, we made a few stops. We spent 2 nights in York, which was quite a lovely city. We didn't really know what to do there, so we drove into the center of the town and just kind of walked around finding things to do. We visited York Castle and I was able to get some pretty cool pictures of the city. Here are Bryce and I in front of York Castle:
This is my favorite picture of the city from on top of the Castle. You can even see the ferris wheel by the river.
Here is another picture that was taken from the top of York Castle of the museum that is situated next to it. We went in here and it was very cool. They had all of these displays of different items over time. (For example they had a bunch of displays of wedding and funeral attire and rituals over time.) The museum also had an old-time cobblestone city in it with all kinds of shops, police and fire stations, and street vendors. It was VERY cool.
After the museum, we walked around (hoping to take the river tour, but we got there too late for the daytime tour) and found this little gem:
Of course I had to take a picture of it! (Even though we didn't go inside. I think Bryce had his share of British opera for this trip.) This last picture is one that I took and I thought it was just too pretty not to post, so enjoy!
