4 Months

Did this last month really last 30 whole days? I'm pretty sure Jacob turned 3 months like a week or two ago. At FOUR months, here are Jake's stats:

• Height: 25 5/8" (70th percentile)
• Head Circumference: 16 5/8" (50th percentile)
• Weight: 13 lb 11 oz (24th percentile. His % has dropped a lot compared to all of his other appts, so we're keeping aware and starting the boy on solids in addition to nursing.)

I feel like Jacob has become a little person, especially in the past week or two. At four months he:

is a great tummy timer and seems to enjoy being on his belly much more.

pulls his legs under him when he's on his belly. I'm pretty sure he's going to figure out how to scoot soon.

turns on to his side from his back.

is very intrigued by his feet and will clap them together, grab them, and stare at them.

has pulled his pacifier out of his mouth and put it back in a few times. 

slobbers a TON and grabs anything and everything and tries to put it in his mouth.

still wakes up once a night (usually--some nights he'll wake up twice and a few nights he's slept straight through from 7:30-7:30).

is starting to transition to less nighttime sleep and a 3.5-4 hour schedule during the day. We're trying to stay awake longer during wake times and consolidate to 3 naps a day. We're down to 2 longer naps (morning and early afternoon) and two short (45-60 minute) naps in the late afternoon/evening.

45 minute intruder is still a problem, but we're starting to get it under control. The new schedule has helped a lot.

loves to be upright, whether its standing or sitting.

talks a lot, especially gurgles and squeals and he giggles a LOT.

loves being tickled and having raspberries blown on his belly.

grabs things with one hand and then will put both hands on it and sometimes transfers things from one hand to the other.

decided he likes to take a bath in the bumbo better than his tub.

is still in 3-6 month clothes.

is an amazing tracker.

loves his new minky blanket/stuffed animal combo thing. 

is very intrigued by animals and tries to pet them. 

has learned associations with the words "sit", "stand", and "kisses" and responds by doing each. He's particularly good at giving kisses.
