Seven Months!

Sorry for the late post, but the babe and I were out of town visiting family when he turned 7 months on the 28th and then we've been keeping very busy since we've been back.

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe my little boy is getting so old and so big. He has such a personality these days and is so fun. He is accomplishing new things all the time. It's like I blink and he's learned a new trick or has moved half way across the room. At seven months he:

weighs about 19 pounds

is very wiggly. He is constantly moving around.

gets up on his hands and knees all the time, but hasn't given an official crawl that I've seen. 

army crawls forward and scoots backward.
started trying to pull up on furniture. He'll hold on if he's standing already, but can't quite figure out how to get up on his own.

has 4-5 bottles a day and eats 3 solid meals a day.

tried pureed meat for the first time and hated it. 

is down to 2 naps a day except for a few day here and there when he takes 3 short naps.

doesn't like to sleep anywhere but his crib. He sometimes will fall asleep in his carseat if he's tired enough, but he won't stay asleep in it for long--maybe 45 minutes tops.

loves petting animals aka ripping their hair out.

can sit up on his own really well. He falls over every once in while, but usually can kind of catch himself so he doesn't fall too hard. 

clicks his tongue, blows spit bubbles, blows raspberries, and says lots of syllables. 

is a great copycat. 

gets very excited to see his mommy and daddy.

will reach for things he wants and reaches for people if he wants to be picked up or go to someone else. 

loves other kids and babies.

is a sympathetic crier. If another baby/toddler/kid is crying really loud or close to him, he will start crying.

random outbursts freak him out. Dog barking, loud/sudden laughing, me singing opera, they all make him cry.

Jacob is such a sweet, sweet boy. We love him so much and can't wait to see what he's like in another month.
