R.I.P. Ruby.....so long old friend
SO.... nobody's dead.... don't worry about that. But, we sold Bryce's Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, fondly known as Ruby. We are getting a new car sometime soon. We found an amazing deal on a Grand Cherokee, which will be much better for us economically and it will be more family friendly. We are getting it from CarMax, but it is at a store in Florida, so they are shipping it here. We should have it in about 3 weeks (hopefully sooner). Here are some pictures of Ruby, to pay our respects:

Can you tell we're busy?
So it has been WAY too long since the last time I blogged. A lot has happened in the past month or so. Here's the update:
- I got my car back. Yay! But as soon as I got it back I had to take it back to the auto shop to have them fix something in the back that was making a weird noise. That is all fixed and now it is making another weird noise. I am taking it back in either tomorrow (if they're open) or Monday.
- I started Fall semester of school. It is going well so far. I am taking 3 classes and then I have voice lessons and opera rehearsal once a week each. It is a pretty nice schedule. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday I am done at 3 (even after working). I only have class from 9-11 everyday. Jealous? Haha.
- We painted both of the bedrooms and the living room and dining room. They look really beautiful. The extra bedroom, living and dining rooms are all this pretty tan/sage color and our bedroom is blue. I am cleaning tomorrow so I will post some pictures of the finished product. We still need to paint both bathrooms (upstairs is going to be the same blue as our bedroom and downstairs is going to be the same as the living/dining room), the kitchen (pale yellow), and the stairwell (tan/sage also). I can't wait until it is all finished. It is so much better than white.
- Bryce got a new job. He starts next Wednesday. He will be working at the local DI processing donations. Well, that will be his job at least through his beginning "review period". After that month or two there is a really good chance for promotion to a lead. This job is awesome because they will pay for his school books (History text books get expensive) and they offer benefits like health insurance.
- We have been to the first 3 BYU football home games. The team is doing well. They were undefeated last season and remain undefeated. They have the longest winning streak in the country right now. Pretty cool, huh? Even cooler is that 2 of the main players for the team, the 1st string quarterback and one of the first string receivers are in our ward. All I can say is they better not screw this season up... we know where they live!

Finals and Trying out eBay
This week is summer finals. I have 1: Music History and Bryce has 1 for Chemistry. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and easily. Our plans for after finals: clean house and PAINT! Check back later for some before and after pics.
On another note... we are in the process of selling Bryce's Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. We've listed it on eBay, Craigslist, and the local newspaper online classifieds. He loves his Jeep, but its not very practical for us right now. We need something that is a little more travel-pet-family friendly car (no we are not having kids quite yet). But, it will be nice to have another vehicle that we can drive around more. My boss has some hook-ups, so once we get the Jeep sold, we are hoping to get a Grand Cherokee instead through the local dealers-only auction. We can survive this semester with only one car, at least until the car we want comes to the auction. We will keep everyone updated on the selling progress.

Patty got broke
Last Thursday I was on my way to school when I got in a car accident. We still aren't sure on who's fault it was and nobody was issued a ticket. But my poor Patty Patriot sure got crunched. On impact, the rim of my tire was bent, instantly deflating the tire. Interestingly enough, there was one scratch on the front pasenger side door and I don't think there were any on the rear piece, but the rear door took all the damage. And, from the inside, it didn't look like there was any damage at all. At least now I know that if I have passengers and some senile old lady decides she is going to ram me going 10 over the speed limit, nobody will get hurt. Here are a couple of views of my broken little car.
